Here is now where the adjustments take place: Left click in the email row under the "Categories" column, (a category should appear) Left click the email within the row, but NOT IN the "Categories" column, this opens the email Right click the "Category" within the Open Email ![]() Within the In box folder, you should see the "Categories" column In mail view, (preferably Inbox folder) right click on: Column headers > arrange by > view settings > columnsįrom one of the "available columns" find "Categories"Īnd select "Add" to the "Show these columns in order" (move "up" or "down" if need be) Set Up and use of "Categories" within Outlook 2010 for an IMAP account. I have used "Categories" extensively, and discovered this issue when I move from POP to IMAP. Not sure if this helps, but I think I might have found a shorter workaround regarding "Categories" for the Outlook 2010 IMAP account holders.
